Privacy Policy

MyKiddos is built on a simple principle: your family's health information is none of our business — literally. This policy explains, in plain language, exactly what that means.

The short version: MyKiddos has no user accounts, no analytics, no advertising, and no third-party SDKs of any kind. All the information you enter stays on your device and in your own private iCloud account. Paul Badarau (trading as alplustech), the developer of MyKiddos, has no access to it, cannot see it, and does not receive it in any form.

1. Who we are

MyKiddos is developed by Paul Badarau, trading as alplustech ("we", "us", "the developer"). We can be reached at support@alplustech.com.

2. What information the app stores

MyKiddos lets you record, at your own discretion:

Your child's temperature readings and fever curve
Medicine doses you log and the wait-time reminders you configure
Symptoms, free-text notes, and photos you choose to attach
Vaccination records and growth measurements

All of this information is stored using Apple's CloudKit framework in your own private iCloud database — the same private storage space used by apps like Photos or Notes. It is encrypted in transit and at rest by Apple's infrastructure under your Apple ID.

3. What we don't do

No accounts. MyKiddos does not ask you to sign up, log in, or create a profile with us.
No analytics or crash reporting SDKs. We do not embed any third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking libraries.
No ads. MyKiddos is a paid app and does not show advertising.
No server of ours. There is no alplustech-operated backend that receives, stores, or processes your health data. We have built nothing that would let us see it, and we cannot recover it if you lose access to your iCloud account.

4. iCloud and family sharing

Data syncs between your own devices via your private CloudKit database, exactly as controlled by your Apple ID and iCloud settings. A future update to MyKiddos is planned to add optional iCloud family sharing (using Apple's CKShare mechanism) so that a co-parent or caretaker can be invited to view or contribute to a shared child's records. Even with that feature enabled, data is shared directly between the invited iCloud accounts through Apple's infrastructure — it still never passes through, or is stored on, any server operated by us.

5. Photos and device permissions

If you attach a photo to a log entry, that photo is stored the same way as all other MyKiddos data — in your private CloudKit database. MyKiddos only accesses the camera or photo library when you actively choose to add a photo.

6. Notifications

Dose-reminder alerts are scheduled as local notifications on your own device using Apple's notification framework. No reminder content or scheduling data is sent to us or to any third party.

7. Children's privacy

MyKiddos is a tool for parents and caregivers to record information about their own children. It is not directed at children as users, does not knowingly collect information directly from children, and does not permit children to interact with it as an audience. All information about a child is entered by the parent or caregiver and, as described above, is stored only in that parent's own private iCloud account.

8. Data retention and your control

Because MyKiddos does not hold any of your data, retention and deletion are entirely in your hands: deleting an entry, deleting the app, or removing MyKiddos's iCloud data from your device's Settings removes it. You can export your data at any time from within the app (Settings → Export).

9. Legal basis and your rights (GDPR)

Because no personal data about you or your child is transmitted to, or processed by, the developer, most obligations that fall on a data controller under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) — such as identifying a lawful basis for processing, honoring access/erasure requests against our own systems, or maintaining a record of processing activities — do not apply, since there is no processing by us to speak of. Your data resides solely with Apple as the operator of iCloud, under Apple's own privacy policy and your Apple ID account controls. If you are in the EU/EEA or UK, you retain full rights over your iCloud data via Apple directly.

10. Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, we will update the effective date above and, for material changes, note them in the app's release notes.

11. Governing law

This policy is governed by the laws of Romania and, where applicable, the European Union, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
